Young artichoke plant advice

Morning all you expert growers

Early on this year i got a globe artichoke plug plant, planted it out but it hasn't grown loads so i would still call it a baby. Its about 12-15" across and 8-10" high
I know that i want it in a different place next year and its probably too late to move it now. So should i leave it where it is and cover with fleece if needed and move in spring; or should i pot it up now and put in greenhouse and plant out in spring

Plants are best moved when they're dormant, so leave it where it is for another month or so, then dig it up and move it. Once it's in it's new position, give it a good mulch to protect the roots, and maybe put a cloche over it to protect it from the worst of the winter weather. By Spring it should be established and hopefully will flourish next season.

Thats what i thought but then someone said as its still a very small plant the soil may be to too cold to replant now for it to establish and they suggested the 2 options i mentioned; just wondered if anyone had already done this before xx
