            • I pick chillies as soon as I'm hungry, green ones are milder than colourful ones.

              • I'd pick those red ones if they are red all over.
Like burnie says you can pick at any stage and they are usually a little milder. But I often find flavour being much nicer when ripe.

Maybe - mine was from the seedling swap
All those in that post - choc hab, pink hab and the sugar rush peach are from SP seedlings. Last year and this.

Nice looking plant - you can pick chillies anytime. Obviously the riper they are the hotter.

I really hope the two Bhuts are what they're supposed to be. They are grown from seed this year but the Reaper is in its third year now. Still waiting for a decent harvest from it! This is its last chance as I am definitely not bringing it in to overwinter. (I said that last year though.)

Some of my older leaves go a bit blotchy like that. I'd never thought it was anything particularly scary as long as the newer leaves look green and healthy. Now I'm worried. Should I be burning the plants?

                            • Must put up some more pics of my chillies but my Chocolate Scorpion is growing and flowering really well..Some of the leaves are massive; bigger than my hand in some cases.. Hope it fruits well; think I will save some seeds and see what happens

I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....

This is allegedly a birds eye chilli !
It's from the same packet of seeds as the not scotch bonnet .

I haven't a clue what it is but I like it. It's very compact with some very nice fat chillies coming. I've isolated it to save seeds. Will be very interesting to see what colour it turns when it ripens and what heat & flavour is like.

VC I've tried my first jalapeño fooled you. You're safe . It's like a tasteless sweet pepper.
