      • These three are all overwintering Apple Crisp chilli. A little bit of die back evident but there's plenty of green growth on these still to prune it out later without any real issue.
The RHS photo lacks side shoots compared to it's neighbours. This is because that particular specimen spent most of the summer outside with indequate support of the developing fruits, so as the upper branches became more laden and ever heavier, so the canopy gradually pulled the main stem over. Plus it also suffered some snail damage. So I've removed all of that damaged and twisted growth as I want the plant to revert to an upright habit again.
I have to say - touch wood - this variety is proving a very reliable cultivar.
I got my seeds originally from Sea Spring Seeds if anybody fancies a crack (SP you're doing this one this year, aren't you)?

        • I just love the way you support them....I just bung a bamboo cane in the pot and grab some string! Yours look fantastic.

I must get my act together!

They're doing ok, I think. Still waiting for a few more to germinate.

Well I'm glad you told us you're still waiting for more to germinate, because otherwise that would be a really poor effort.

                      • Purple Tiger

Question about Purple Tiger, for anyone who has grown it:

How big does it grow? Obviously plant sizes depend on growing conditions but you can compare with other well known plants e.g. if you say "as big as a lemon drop" I will know it's large, or "like Chenzo" I will know it's quite compact etc.

I have half a dozen seeds geminated but I'm only planning to grow one pot of it. It will be a fairly large pot, can't remember the actual size but two Twilight plants in it last year (thanks SP!) never really filled it, whereas four (yes, four) Fish plants were rather too squashed. I'm trying to guess how many Purple Tiger plants I will need to put in it.

                        • Can't help with purple tiger. Never grown it. Just googled images.......that didn't help
Only tiger I've grown is the peach tiger tooth you let me have last year.

Do you want to? I was told the seed was old so I sowed plenty and they all germinated.

I believe it’s the same as Trifetti and Tricolour Variegata but I may be wrong.

                                It's a small plant - 2ft max. I love it it's a beauty..

                                # yes...one of those that they've given a million names.
