It doesn't look quite right for a cayenne. Will just have to wait and see.

    • Apache?

My Aldi chillies must have had green aphids on and a few of them have spread to the neighbouring tomato plants. Been squishing them over the last few days. My other plants could really do with potting on, but don't have the space for them indoors if they were all in bigger pots and night time greenhouse temperatures may not be high enough yet. Perhaps I'll get the large-mini-polytunnel or the big propagator tent out to give them a second layer of cover.

They're looking good VC. Made you grow ? .
I don't think anyone ( especially in their right mind ) could try to make VC do anything VC didn't want to .

              • My chillies are out and have been for a few nights.

SP, the end is blunt on that chilli, can't think of anything that shape ....so maybe a cross?

You'd be surprised at the daft things I've been persuaded to do, like being told I could fly by jumping off the windowsill and flapping my arms. I haven't done that lately but I have grown chillies and I haven't tried that for many years either.

                    • I will take a better photo tomorrow, but my plants are all a little jumbled....

The bigger chilli, closest on the right is SPs white hab

My brother tried to fly too!! After getting in a pillow case?? Not sure how he did that ...made a few holes somewhere - he truly believed he was a ninga turtle and flew straight off the kitchen worktop

Much to his amazement he didn't fly

My chillies will be evicted very soon. I want my dining room back

I don't recognise the shape of that pod so a cross is a possibility

                          • These are my babies, they are actual babies only recently been born Mohawk, cayenne and mini red. Used some old seed others haven’t made an appearance. Sown 4th April heated propagator.
Have given up on overwintering the aphids/white flies seem to win at mine last couple of years!

The first two photos are my babies, the 3rd photo are shop bought

                            • Mine are all repotted in slightly bigger pots and in the greenhouse now, under a mini-poly for extra warmth. Think we need to save more 500ml yoghurt containers for next year: they're narrow enough so that a lot of them fit under the lights and there's plenty of root space to last the plants until they go straight into 10L pots. 9cm pots are just a bit too small.

                              • Didn't get round to all the potting up I had planned for the weekend so that all still needs doing.

Put some of my babies outside to enjoy the sunshine. Some of them look a bit sick but hopefully they will perk up now I've fed them.

There should be a photo here but I can't select it. It's not too big.
