Time to cry. my chillis have leaf spot.
I'm going to try aspirin,and PGPBs in an experiment in november in a sanitized propagator.
If you have any experience it'd be good to hear.

They are looking stunning scarlet.
That looks like sugar rush peach.

I've been growing chillies for many years and never had leaf spot!

I must look that up, I've never had it either ( knowingly ).
Pictures would be very helpful.

I've just had a look in my book ( I love my book I'm never far away from it at the moment ) there's about 3 things your leaf spot could be. So some photos would be very handy.
It could be bacterial spot let's hope not ! that one the organism is seed borne. Where did you get your seeds from?
Cercospora leaf spot are you getting leaf drop off?
Tomato spotted wilt virus are your plant stunted ?

Not really looked at that bit of the book before. Wow you'd never even attempt to grow a chilli if you read that first . 17 pages of disease and pests and those pages unfortunately aren't full of pictures

Its bacterial spot. I've seen it before on my tomatoes. Its why i stopped bothering even attempting to grow them.

I dont get aphids,or anything else affecting my plants just spot, and wilt. Both local. Both soul destroying.

I've decided to consider them lost,but experimental.I've isolated them with plastic.I'll treat them with aspirin, and see if they recover , as its early stages, and they're just starting to flower.

Marginal success in controlling the disease has come from using copper-based bactericide. However, excessive use of copper can be toxic to the chilli plant.

london. I watered them with tap water until recently...when i switched to rain water. I use a greenhouse with a fan and high humidity for my citrus.

I know nothing about growing chillies but tomatoes don't like high humidity. Did you grow them in the same GH conditions?

If it's come from a citrus tree, maybe not cleaned up enough of the debris.
Bacterial spot is usually from untreated seeds?
Never seen it on any tomato or chilli.

I would like to see photos - people often get it wrong.

no. that was a bought in plantwith a virus. I was stupid enough not to apply a quarantine procedure for a couple of months. I learnt my lesson there...well almost.
