      Did you save seed yourself??
      Do you isolate/ use bags?

That would really upset me. I don't mind growing something if I know there's a possibility of crossing...but I wouldn't want several crosses.
Where are you getting seed from? I would complain bitterly if it's a seed supplier.

I know some growers think that chillies rarely cross but I have found the opposite.

        • The rococo was from Nickys Nursery a couple of years ago. The Ethiopian was from a Facebook group via a friend.

I would still go back to N Nursery - even if you haven't got the packet.

It was in a bedroom so should have been isolated this was a good few years ago and I have grown at least one every year since with no problems, if the pods get a bit of heat as they get ripen I won't mind so much but there's none at the moment.

I found that when I grew a few crossed several years back - the flavour was often lost. I think the market has been swamped by people supplying seed that aren't isolated properly. Seed swaps where people don't even attempt to bag seeds etc really get me. We end up with a bunch of chillies that aren't stable.

                • GIant White Hab?

                  Going back to that ^^^^

SP...how yellow is your giant white hab?? I have really searched the web on this and I honestly think lots of the photos are enhanced! You Tube videos show a much yellower pod than the stills.
Mine definitely matures paler - as it ripens the "green" clears.
This is the only pods I have for the chilli swap . My choc habs just drop off with hand pollination/bagging.

Even though it's a bit yellower than descriptions it's an absolutely beautiful plant. Huge amount of pods and a great flavour. The main stem is super thick. I'm keeping this one though it did go cold a couple of nights ago - only brought him in last night.

My giant white hab is definitely more yellow than white. Once they’ve ripened I’ve left them on the plant for ages but they don’t really change much at all.
I’d agree stunning plant with masses of pods and great flavour.

Yeah you sent me a peach hab in the swap. And it’s 100% peach. I didn’t manage to save seeds from it unfortunately or I’d send you some back.

Not looking very happy now it’s gone cold, but look at all those pods.

                              • That looks great. I have a orange habenero that is absolutely laden with beautiful glossy orange pods but I harvested them all today and pruned it right back for over wintering. It was very sad. How big is the container you have that in? Looks massive.
