I am looking for a cloche that's 119cm in length (or 117cm to allow to be pegged down) & around 60cm in width. Unfortunately, I can't make one as I have a problem with my hands & shoulders, so manually dexterity can be an issue

Dug all the used compost from last years tomatoes into the Roman circle.
Riddled and raked it down until it was level.
Planted out all my dahlias in this new space.
Very pleased with the way it turned out.
It was a very enjoyable day.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Planted the first of the squish, beans and tomatoes out. Fingers crossed there's no turns in the weather.
I have more to start hardening off tomorrow, which is fun, seeing as I live in a 3rd floor flat with very little communal space...

Weeded Bed 14 with the help of 2 chooks and 3 dogs. Not very good job!
Scattered 2 N Lucky jars of flower seeds.
Picked rhubarb.
Weeded a patch against some wire netting to plant sweet peas - tomorrow.
Watched a blue tit fluffing up its feathers and tried to work out if it was a baby or a fluffy/moulting adult.
Lost 2 chooks - found them dustbathing in the seedling GH. Fortunately, there's not much growing in there at the moment.
Moved the germinating DFBs out of the prop and into the GH.
Took delivery of 36 tiny begonias - not sure where they're going to be planted but I seem compelled to buy some every year.
Enjoyed the sunshine.

Weeded Bed 15 and the cherry and strawberry tunnel. Found a a furry leaved plant that looks like lamb's ears although how it came to be growing in amongst the strawberries is anyone's guess. It has been relocated to Bed 12L.
Planted some Pot marigold seedlings in the D bed - just seemed the right place for them at the time - they are now called Dot Marigolds.
Very hot again but I'm not complaining.

Took the shears to the weeds round the gh at the plot (digging, weeding under, then relaying paved area is next winter’s project...).
Watered seedlings.
‘Sourced’ an old flexitrug from a skip, drilled some holes and filled it with compost. Hoping either aubergines or tomatoes will enjoy the deep root space.
Came home for a nap - all this heat is tiring me out, nothing whatsoever to do with late night out with friends yesterday ... ;-)
