Harvested my garlic this morning.
Planted potatoes in the same space this evening.
Fairly pleased with the size of the garlic but probably wont grow it next year as it takes up too much space for too little return.

Watered all my plants in the greenhouse.
Went to my sons house and spent a good two hours weeding.
Sowed grass seed again, this is the second time.
First time, I sowed it and went on holiday and nobody watered it.
This is the last time, I will not be doing it again.
Feeling a bit exhausted now but hope it will be worth the effort.

Finally planted out 2 Trombas. Hope they survive the slugs as they seem to be enjoying the beans.
Did a lot of weed seed-head snipping off, cleaver collection and bramble chopping down as its green waste collection tomorrow and I like to pack the bins as full as possible.
Weeds are going crazy at the moment with all the rain we're having. Its been sunshiny today.

Wished I hadn't culled the remaining courgette yesterday, as snails had a jolly good nibble in the night at the one I left behind.
Earthed up Laurette potatoes good and proper and did masses of weeding. There's less to do than I've already done, so starting to feel like there's light at the end of the tunnel.

Bed 9 built, soil ammended and planted purple sprouting broccoli. Lots of weeding and hoeing today on all the beds (mares tail has taken 10-14 days to resurface). Replacement squash seem to be establishing well. Peas seem to be germinating along with carrot and beetroot sowed last week. Pak Choi coming through.
More craters filled from the kids digging
At home, tied up pumpkins to trellis and pollinated first courgette. More weeding. Planted Charlotte's into a potato bag. Tried dipping growths from the "tomato armpits" in rooting powder then into soil to try establishing new plants. There are no gardening mistakes, only learning curves
No matter how big the job or overwhelming the task, a good dose of sheer obstinacy and bloody-mindedness should see you through
