Saturday 20th
Up early to allotment to sow seeds (already 25c in greenhouse!!!)
Tray of Verbena bonariensis
4 x Winter Squash ' Waltham Butternut'
4 x Squash 'Uchiki kuri'
3 x 'Julie's Squash ~ a mystery variety which my penpal sent me (she couldn't remember name either ) She grows it on her allotment and says it's tasty so I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes
Would have sown more but ran out of seed compost!
Finished off sieving soil onto asparagus bed.
Left after 2.5hrs with shades of red on arms and face Greenhouse said it was 36c in there!!!If I'm not on the Grapevine I can usually be found here!....https://www.thecomfreypatch.co.uk/

Got some beans in today: cobra, scarlet emperor, borlotti and some Lima beans I found in the bottom of the seed box. Popped some khol rabbi, beetroot and some more pak choi in, as well as sowing some nasturtiums.
Lots of transplants of various veg tooThere are no gardening mistakes, only learning curves
No matter how big the job or overwhelming the task, a good dose of sheer obstinacy and bloody-mindedness should see you through
