Seed Sowing thread 2019

Today was pretty wild wind-wise but thankfully nothing blew down

Sowed the following....

Tray of Cosmos
Tray of Tagetes

10 x Freer's Mummy Pea
4 x Tromboncino


Back up tomorrow to do more as the forecast is a lot better

Sowed extra salad type seeds (wild rocket as I find this bolts less, lettuce, parsley curled and pak choi) I love having fresh salad ingredients on hand!! So crunchy

Need to sow my sweetcorn but I feel its too cold yet in my UH greenhouse..?

Although saying that some of my French beans (Kew blue- anyone grown these before? Tips) are doing really well!

A lot of the tomato seed which were seen a week ago have germinated,
Feel I am now in with a chance of having a decent crop of tomatoes this year.

My sweetcorn has been quite happy in a covered tray in the unheated and holey greenhouse (lost 2 panes recently due to bad weather) and is romping on nicely for now at least and I've just sown another lot in another covered tray so I think you'd be fine to get yours in now

Sown in salad bar red & green salad bowl, Tuscan mix, hot & spicy mix, Pak choi and lambs lettuce.

Potted up parsley, thyme, chives, lettuce and tagates..
Potted up some bedding dahlias which I sowed some weeks ago.

Lots of lettuce mainly to use up old seed packets, mixed and sprinkled over a seed tray. There's either going to be a bucket load of lettuce or there isn't...
