If you're not already in the tromba competition. Try growing them instead of courgettes. I've heard there pretty resistant to mildew. And might even be better than courgettes anyway. They don't have seeds in most of the fleshy part

                    • Started on my sowing

These are my 'tenders' so will stay at home in the propagator on south-facing windowsill until big enough to go to allotment.

                      Cucumber 'La Diva' x 3
Cucumber Lemon x 4 (two seeds per pot)
                      Cucamelon x 6 (2 per pot)

Water Melon 'Sugar Baby' x 3

                      Tomato 'Gardener's Delight' x 4
                      Tomato 'Supersweet 100 F1' x 4 (2 per pot)

Tomorrow = tough stuff at allotment.....runner beans, borlotti beans, peas, squashes etc

                        Sown in the salad bar

VC style of sowing ( scattering old seed on spare ground ) ( in this case the raspberry bed )

                        • Sown tomatoes, will put the variety in later, packets the greenhouse.
                          Spring onions.
                          Romero peppers.
                          Kale.
                          Spinach.

Netted the brocolli and red cabbage.
                          Plenty of weeding.
Finished the cage for my gooseberry Bush, which already has some small berries on.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.
