    • Mixed salad leaves.
      Tomatoes.
      Cabbage.
      Strawberries.
      Chives.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

      • Emptied my International Kidney potato pot. 1.8 kg from two plants in one pot. Some of them were pretty big; I think I should have harvested them a few weeks ago.

        • Lifted the overwintered onion sets as they are clearly over, tops bent and dying back, what a disappointment they are, I think some may have actually shrunk from the size of sets planted, I won't be bothering with that experiment again.

                    • Kale and a few wild strawberries. I need to get up to the allotment and pick some chard for my lovely colleagues. Quite a few have never tried it

                      • My first courgette of the year. They've been terrible so far: almost no male flowers, so none of the pollinate.
                        A handful of mangetout.
Another bolting Chinese cabbage. I just spent the last hour washing it, dicing it, then salting it and packing it into a jar. It should be saurkraut in a week or so's time.

                        • Yesterday, I had 2 cucumbers, 6 French beans and a cabbage. Oh, and a load of basil that was made into pesto and eaten for lunch.

                            • Oh and a couple of collapsed lettuce for the chooks. They'd clearly got too hot inside cos of the heatwave.
