1. Lollo Rossa lettuce (I've grown far too much lettuce this year, so most of this will go to my neighbour)
2. Blackberries (huge delicious berries, we're just discovering the marvel that is cultivated blackberries)
3. Moonlight runner beans (I picked up the plants as orphans from the donations table at the allotment despite not having anywhere ready for them to go but couldn't leave them behind. This was the first picking so I'm very pleased)
4. Autumn King carrots (had the awesome experience of finding no carrots in the fridge for lunch and just being able to nip outside and pull some up. Love it!)
:-D
Japanese onions (all that I could carry) and some mixed coloured tomatoes.
My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)
Just brought home all my onions from the allotment. I haven't weighed them yet, but they filled a carrier bag and felt very heavy carrying them back home.
Courgettes as usual, toms, and cucumbers. Children and friend wandered round garden snacking on sorrel, various lettuce, peas, redcurrants, physalis and raspberries.
