                    • Yesterday - cavolo nero kale, gorgeous!
This morning - the last of the dwarf French beans - I must say they've been the best ever this year, 4 or 5 big pickings from just a dozen plants, long, straight, tender beans. Usually i find them a bit hit and miss.

                        • Sunday was a big day...
                          Lots of tomatoes, lots!
3 growbags of potatoes- Mira and blue danube. 2nd year trying BD, not so good a yield as the Mira. Less and smaller spuds. Dried off and in a cardboard box under the stairs. Coolest place we have.
                          6 cucumbers
                          1 courgette
                          Mint/parsley/chives
                          1 leek for supper
                          Mara du bois strawbs.
                          lettuce
                          beetroot -choigia, boldor, cylindra, ferono
                          Carrots
                          couple of icicle radish.
Chard and a few kale and collard leaves.

I don't think I have had to buy any of the above since May, shopping basket limited to bananas, lemons and mushrooms.
(think I could fit a couple of mushroom logs down the back corner though )

Sadly my neighbours are not for making ice cream, and even sadder can run a lot fast than me when they see me coming with a pile of veg in hand
