  • My first ear of corn (Swift).
The top inch or so of kernels didn't pollinate, but other than that it turned out pretty well. All the rest pollinate evenly, and it tasted delicious.

                  • A couple of large broccoli heads.
About half of the plants seem to be blind, though... On closer inspection, the growing point seems damaged. I suspect snails nibbled it out some weeks ago. Hopefully those plants will still at least produce side-shoots, even if they now won't produce a main head.

                              • My son and granddaughter came to visit today so we dug my second crop of Nicola 2nd early potatoes grown in raised beds in a poly tunnel, see what you think for yourselves. They were steamed for dinner along with a nice crop of curly kale.
