    • Mixed salad leaves and garlic chives.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

          • Harvested my first strawberries from my allotment today. Just eight of them, but they were very tasty.
I didn't even plant them, either. They just came with the plot.
I haven't had any problems with birds eating them, thankfully, but slugs helping themselves has been a problem.

Also picked some radishes, spring onions and salad leaves.

              • The first radishes (tiny but couldn't wait), some early potatoes kindly produced by some volunteer plants in last year's bed, and some self seeded rocket.

                    • Picked my first Alderman pea pod in the poly-tunnel, almost 2m off the ground - some of the next ones are getting on for 2.5 meters high. :-)
