Today I harvested - 2019

  • Salad bowl lettuce, basil, rocket, pea shoots, black cherry toms, cucumber, radish pods and spring onions all for tonight's salad.

                        • Over half a kilo of mangetout.
                          A handful of French beans.
                          Two cucumbers. I also discovered two more cucumbers, both nearly ready, hiding behind the microwave (I have my plants growing in my conservatory).
                          Two massive courgettes. They hadn't turned into marrows yet, for some reason. Instead, they just got really long (both are about a foot long, but only slightly thicker than a standard courgette).

                            • Toms- Cherrys and a few good sizes cour di bue.
                              4 more cukes
                              French beans dwarf and cobra
                              lettuce- mixed leaves
                              beetroot- cylindra
                              2 round courgette (1 ball and Chairio di nizza) next year I am only growing stuff I can spell
                              Blue berries and half a dozen strawberries (mara di bois.)
                              A mix of herbs (basil, thyme, tarragon and mint.)
                              5 Tomatillo verde
                              3 midge bites and a stubbed toe.
