          • A courgette, a few beans, some broccoli, and loads of mangetout. The pea plants are starting to succumb to powdery mildew now, but they are still going strong, so should be alright for another couple weeks, at least.

            • The rest of the potatoes and a few apples. Including one misshapen but otherwise perfect apple from my bargain trees purchased last year.

                      • Just a note for my inevitable musing next year about what I was doing at this stage...

All the potatoes have now been up for a couple of weeks, and remarkably few losses this year.
                        Onions up, dried and stored.
I've harvested the pumpkins and let them finish ripening on the windowsill. Two rocket, one rouge vif d'etamps, one uchiki kuri. The giant and three disappointingly small crown prince are still maturing on the plot.
I've some chillies, though not loads, and none have ripened. I've started to bring them in onto windowsills to see if they will ripen, and decide which to over-winter.

Still harvesting french beans, runner beans, sugarsnaps, leeks, courgettes, tomatoes (although I've brought in all the ones from the plot) and raspberries.

Still to harvest swede, celeriac (small, but still growing.... c'mooon!), brussels, kale, parsnips.

I've just planted out some mustards for winter greens, and will shortly be adding spinach, some japanese greens and some kales/cabbages from a plug plant offer.

                        :-)

                          • Courgettes. Loads of them. They will join the ten tons I already have in kitchen. I really mustn’t plant four plants next year.....
