  • Tomatoes, peppers and a cucumber.
Some pzttipan squashes and a fennel plant.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

            • Mangetout.
Plants are on their last legs now, though. Mildew really getting the better of then. I think they've got one more harvest in them.

                  • Out and about, tidying up and found:
                    1 Trombocino
                    3 courgettes
                    5 beet roots
                    8 little carrots
a few wimpy sweet potatoes, more like fat roots! Note to self... watering more helps :O)
                    Chard and kale
The last of my tomatoes, even the green ones , just enough to make a jar of green tomato chutney.
                    sage
                    tarragon
                    mint
                    basil
And some sweet pea flowers for the windowsill/
                    V.P.
The thing I grow best are very large slugs!

Lovely Cosse Violette beans...and a lot of split tomatoes.
All at once I hear your voice
                      And time just slips away

                        • Cosse Violette and Greek Gigantes beans. Last 2 little melons. A few beetroot and turnips, a few winter radish, last few sweetcorn, not properly pollinated but will get something from them, autumn raspberries (eaten), apples, tomatoes, patty pan and tromboncino squash, cucumbers. A few carrots. Oh, and some scorzonera.
I love this time of year, when all the work is on hold and I just get to harvest.

                            • Beetroot, courgettes, sweetcorn and raspberries. And some spuds that had avoided the harvester earlier in the year

                              • A melon, a bunch of grapes, a pepper, a tray full of tomatoes, a plantpot full of strawberries, a dozen or so blueberries (eaten in passing), a couple of apples, a couple of pears, a lot of pimientos de Pŕdron, 2 cucumbers and a handful of red chillies to make Chilli jam (with the tomatoes). But when I got home I realised I didn't have enough garlic to make it so it will have to wait. ( Most of my garlic is hung up in the shed at the allotment. )
Forgot, half a dozen beetroot as well.
