  • All the tomatoes out of one greenhouse (and chopped the plants down), four red peppers, a swede, two leeks and a few grapes that had been hiding at the back of the vine.

    • More carrots(last of the early nantes, been a good crop they have) and also the first few smallish parsnips to go with the free range chuck cooking in the oven.

          • Landcress and radicchio... unlike everything else, they are thriving in the rain.

            • Dug up my allotment sweet potatoes today, as the next three nights might be frosty.
I got 5kg from three plants. Not bad considering they were grown outdoors, and were planted as barely rooted slips (rather than potted plants) on the 4th June.

Also picked all my peppers and chillis, and all the squashes from my back garden.
Picked the rest of my Christmas Pippin apples (eight large apples).

                • 25 of the dark blue potatoes - hard work, it was like truffle hunting as the skin has the exact same colour as the soil.

                  • I found a pocket full of cucamelons! I had no idea they had carried on producing.. so they'll go in a salad in the next couple of days!

                    • I thinned out some carrots and the thinnings have a lovely sweet taste, they will go into a stir fry tomorrow

                      • Picked what are probably the last of the tomatillos.
                        Some red veined sorrel.
                        Chard / perpetual spinach.

                        • Kale and broccoli for dinner.
A massive beetroot (the size of a swede, 750g).

Loads more dry beans for shelling.
I think I may have overdone it with the beans for drying, to be honest. I already have two large jars full, and a 2L ice cream tub completely full, and that's not counting the ones I picked today. And there are still quite a lot more that aren't ready to pick yet.
They'll keep, I suppose, so as long as I use them up before this time next year, it should be fine.

                              • 3 carrots, 2 of which had slug damage so will not leave the remainder of the row in the soil much longer as would prefer to eat them myself. + a parsnip, a fennel bulb and a turnip = casserole time
