For those thinking about which potatoes to grow next year and within reach of Whitchurch, Hampshire, the 21st Potatodays will be held on Sat & Sun 26 & 27 January 2019, from 10am to 3pm daily.
All the features that have been presnt over the last 20years will be there, most importantly, over 100 varieties of seed potato with over 20 of them also available as organic seed.
Loads more seeds, sets, bulbs, plants and local produce. Plenty of free advice and a free coloured potato to every child with activities to keep them occupied if they don't find potatoes very interesting!
The location, Testbourne Community School, Micheldever Road, Whitchurch RG28 7JF, is well signposted from the A34 north and south of Whitchurch.
Entry for adults is £2, children free

Friendly event with regulars very happy to share advice with new growers. Come even if you haven't anything to share this year.
Please label saved seed with plant type, variety if known and date of harvest. Plants,tubers and bulbs are also very welcome. Interesting varieties including heritage vegetable seed appears on the table, but left over seed packets are just as popular.

Nearest one to me is ~ I think ~ just over the border at Kelso on Sunday 3rd March I'll try to get that Sunday off. I normally finish at 11am on Sunday anyway but by the time I drive up to Kelso there's be nowt left!
