Course for a treat?

I rather fancy going away on my tod for a weekend as a birthday treat (does that make me a horrible person?! Introverts unite!) and would really like to do some sort of gardening course.

I did look at the Sarah Raven ones - I'd love to do the Dahlia day - but although the price made me gulp, the real problem is how far away it is. If I add Cumbria to Sussex travel and then accommodation (although it would be of the tent/travelodge variety) it makes it a bit too pricey.

Any recommendations?

Depends when you want to go - there is a wide variety of courses on specific dates, some a single day and others over a number of weeks at Harlow Carr in Harrogate:

Also, check out your local colleges/universities. Many run short courses for leisure learners at weekends.
