Thanks. Had a feeling that I had seen something about that. Just building up the evidence for later identification if I can manage it !

I got that one year on one variety- I did my research etc and it stayed pale until it was a good sized plant. It flowered and fruited no problem. So I wouldn't worry about it unless it starts looking sad.

        Which variety was that?

A few of mine do that. I've got at least 2 doing it this year. I've found in the past they improve when in their final pot and in the tunnel. It's a bit odd. But they seem to carry on growing just fine.
One of the many things about chilli growing that I don't understand and just ignore .

I ignored it in the end. I remember posting about it. They were all treated the same but that variety looked really yellow - worse than the photo shows. But it did go away on final potting up.

After 2 weeks am at about 35 germinated. Most of the modules have got something out and when that happens I have been moving them to the front sunny windowsill.
Dark seeds and the latest ones are still no show. Only one has darker leaves. All looking healthy not too leggy so far but will prob prick some out soon.

Out of my 77 germinated seeds I got
                  4 didn't make it.
                  8 dark leaves
And Only 4 dark seeds germinated.

The propagator is off now...after almost 4 weeks I've given up on getting any more to germinate. Seven seedlings is enough for me, anyway.

                    • Well the blocker experiment has been a failure.

I've got 8 good plants from the 44 seeds sown. 1 was a black seed

There was another 6 that germinated, but the seedling didn't grown properly. I may have caused a problem with the seed casing in 4 when I potted them up. The seed case didn't split properly and the growing tip fell off with the case. All left is a trunk with no leaves the others just died.

Back to drawing board... and need to sow new tray.

                      • That is another 50 seeds sown tonight. Fingers crossed.

NB Starting off Sweet Peppers to use up spare space.

                        • I am up to 47 germinated seeds. I gave the remainder a good talking to about getting moving. Will be up to 3 weeks this weekend and I’d like to get other things going on top of the radiator. Still very few of the dark seeds germinating.

What a shame. Hope you have more success with the next lot.

                            • Potting up my seedlings today. The little yellow fella has conked out, never even got round to putting out its first true leaves. Maybe struggling to photosynthesise with its pale cotyledons? Six seedlings is enough for me anyway.

                              • I have no idea what I’ll do if the 47 survive. I don’t have the space for more than a few in the house and the greenhouse isn’t big enough for them either. Guess I’ll be giving lots away.
