Timperley Early, yes, 4-5 inches of growth.
Stockbridge Arrow, no, but not expected yet as it's a later variety. Our England is a garden, and such gardens are not made
By singing-'Oh how beautiful!" and sitting in the shade,
While better men than we go out and start their working lives
At grubbing weeds from gravel paths with broken dinner-knives. ~ Rudyard Kipling

I have two in the back garden - one in the sun, and that is growing healthily, the one in the shade - nothing.
On the plot, the big brute is only just coming up now, but the little one in front of the chicken shed has been growing since before Christmas. Not much growth, but a little more every week. I keep tucking them away in mulch, but they keep peeping above lol

When do you start to pull it?

Originally posted by Paulie View PostIt depends on the variety. However, as a rule I'd say wait until April, and then only take a third of the stalks, leaving it for 2-3 weeks before taking more.
Thanks.
I've no idea what variety this is, was thinking about sourcing some when I spotted a "crown" in a skip.
Took it and split it into 4, all growing really well.
Love getting stuff for free, just no idea what variety i have, I'm sure it'll taste good unless I'm growing a giant hogweed crownsigpic
