Asparagus

Hi all, Created raised asparagus beds last year and planted about 20 crowns in mid Feb - mondeo, Pacific Purple, Pacific 2000 and Ariana. Some have started coming through now, but not many - about 12 spears in total. Is this normal with new crowns at this time and will they increase over the next two years? Cheers.

I think it's a bit early in the year to expect spears to harvest. The main crop comes in May and June I think?
