    For most things I use fairly large modules, mostly because I'm clumsy and fat-fingered lol

    I did buy some trays last year though off FB for next to nothing, that are TINY! Like... no wider than my little finger! I have no idea if they will be any good to me at all, because I imagine they will dry out very quickly. Fun to try though, and if they don't work, I can always sell them on

      The module size is key to multisowing as you need a firmish root ball in the module at planting time otherwise everything falls apart in a bit of a mess. I don't think it's an exact science as it depends on the time of year and how fast things are growing and also when your ground is going to be free to pop them in but generally I find that 40 modules per seed tray works best for me. If they'll be in the modules a while then maybe 24s.

        Thank you Sarriss and mcdood, I get it now. Never had any luck with beetroots, ever so will try this later in the spring, fingers crossed.
