Have taken all my tomatoes inside tonight as forecast was 4 degrees. Kitchen is now full with 44 tomato plants. Downside of starting sowing some in January. Looks like overnight temps are going to cold for the next week so could be doing the Hokey Cokey with them for a while. Risking courgettes and cucumber in gh but wrapped up with various layers of bubble wrap and fleece. Roll on last frost date.

My toms are inside tonight too. Not 44 though! Half a dozen from VC's early tomato challenge, and some later sown ones for the greenhouse. I know they always say mid May for last frost in Edinburgh, but I don't usually take it literally

Don’t depress me! I’ve been looking forward to getting space in my greenhouse back as it’s rammed full. Mainly with toms as I’m going to try putting about 20 in raised beds this year. But also courgettes and a couple of cucumbers. Am hoping it is a mid May year this year.Comment

Just put them all back in the gh got the day. Was down to 6.4 overnight so just as well I took them in.Comment
