How many Courgettes, squashes and cucumbers have you picked in 2019
Cukes 71+ 6= 78
just a few stragglers left in the glass house and a few more outside.
Courgettes 25+ 2 one ball = 27
Shooting star looks like I may get a few more.
Squash =4
got 2 good looking trombos and an autumn crown waiting to be harvested.
Not a terrible number for someone who has more enthusiasm than green digits.
Had to pick a monster cuc today as it was starting to pull the whole plant and stake over!
(Was hoping to leave it another day or two to let consumption catch up with supply)
One of my posts seem to have disappeared, or maybe I clicked the wrong button. To get up to date, in the last few days I've picked 5 courgettes including one mini marrow.
(For the curious, Dill's Atlantic Giant, planted in a builder's bag approximately half filled with the rough stuff from the compost heap, some top soil, a little MPC, manure and grass clippings. Sharing space with an Uchiki Kuri and a sunflower. It won't be epic, but it's nice. )
I've had a complete dreadful year for for the squashes, hardly any fruit, most rotted, probably due to poor pollination.
What I do have is very small and I'm thinking that at this time of year, any flowers that pollinate aren't worth bothering with
