  • Holidays are coming

So we are off to Cornwall on Friday and I cant wait!

However I feel a bit worried about how my plot will fare while I'm away. I've got my brother in law on watering duty if we don't get much rain (buying him a crate of beer as a thank you) but he doesn't have much interest in plants or gardening and I wouldn't expect him to damage control or weed.

The main veg patch is fenced to protect from the deer and rabbits so not worried there.

I wondered if anyone has some tips to help my plot survive the bugs and birds in the week we're away?
    So far I've planted out:
Mange tout and early crop peas
    Runner beans
    Spaghetti squash
    Broad beans
    Psb
    Courgette
    Sweetcorn

All are mulched up and manured but most aren't too long in the ground. I had some blue ferrous iron slug pellets but have run out, are they still available or are they banned now?

Tips for helping protect or pre-empt please? Thinking I may need to fleece the Psb against the beautiful but leaf devastating white butterflies tomorrow morning but not much else going on in my gray matter if anyone can offer any suggestions?

Thinking I can pop out tomorrow after packing to get anything I really need and haven't thought of for both holiday and garden!
Biting off more than I can chew since 1983

Pigeons love pea seedlings so you may need some barrier/netting for them. They also love PSB.
