Please can anyone help. My Navets (long thin turnips) are growing upwards out of the ground instead of growing down
I know that I must be doing something wrong but I don't know what. The ground was previously growing potatoes and it is quite stoney but not impossibly so. I don't think they are too close together either.
I have taken a couple out of the ground because thay are too high to cover with soil and they taste divine but I think they should be longer and thinner. Also, because they are out of the ground they are starting to be attacked by all manner of "nasties"
Should I harvest them and try again next year or is there something that can be done.
As ever, your help is much appreciated.
Clare.
