I'm ashamed to say that I have been a bit exuberant and have bought a grafted aubergine plant full price from the garden centre
My understanding is that the plants have a strong route system, so my idea was that the larger the pot the better. Even though the label says that a minimum of 30 cm will do, it seems a bit small to me. Im not putting it in the ground as planned as I've not been able to work the ground for the last 6 weeks or so and buy the time I that i get it done it will be a bit late.
Is a 50 cm pot too big for one grafted aubergine plant? How about grafted tomatoes? Any ideas?
I am planning to grow the aubergine under cover.
