How many beans would you leave per station?

I know there's a thread where we discussed bean spacing as an aside to the main question, but I can't find it. Apologies for starting another thread. If someone else identifies the thread, please merge this with that one.

Now for the question.

Am growing Merveille de Piemonte dwarf beans. Packet instructions were seven or eight to a station, every 40 cm. They've all germinated... Each station is about 20 or so cm in diameter. Described on one website as vigorous with lots of leaves. Would you thin them out or leave as they are?

My magic number is 3 in a triangle. 7/8 seems a bit cramped?

I would dig them up and replant. I plant in blocks so they all hold each other up....all quite close. Maybe 4-6inches apart in all directions.
