I harvested mine on the 27th December last year. Better results than in November the previous year.

Worth noting! My three tubers are growing in a bucket in the greenhouse.

What does it taste like/ how do you use it? Is it worth me adding it to my to try list for next year?

I'd advise putting them outside.
They are from a cool summer climate, and don't like too much heat. About 21 is ideal for them.
Might be worth bringing the pots back in in the autumn, though, to protect from early frosts and give the tubers longer to swell.

I find they taste like a citrusy new potato. Certainly, they don't have a nearly sweet enough flavour to compare to a sweet potato, and they have a distinct tang, due to the acid content.
