Hello all, hope you and your plants are all enjoying the decent weather (finally)!
I’m currently using tap water for the greenhouse in which everything is edible (toms, chillis and peppers).
Everything is growing and fruiting surprisingly well considering the start to the summer we’ve had but I really would like to make use of this water if it’s safe to do so on edible crops?? I’m thinking probably not, it does seem a bit dirty to be feeding the plants with this water if I’m gonna be eating the produce raised on it!
It’s full of larvae, I’ve put a good glug of olive oil in this afternoon as I read that it should starve the larvae of oxygen. It’s not an ideal set up for rainwater harvesting but it’s not something I will tackle now until I get the new greenhouse.
Cheers
