I'd sown them and forgotten about them, now I think they've come up, have I still got time to get a crop off them if I put them out? And can I stick two plants in a bed that's approx. 3" by 3"?

Do you really mean a bed that's 3 inches x 3 inches? If so, they may be a bit squashed.

If you're stuck for space, you could grow them up canes.

gawd's sake, where's my brain, lol no I meant feet! But, they can grow up canes? That means I can get three in that 3 foot bed, right?

You'll need to tie them in to a support - canes, fence, trellis, or a wigwam thing but they should be fine. As the fruits are small they're not heavy to support.
