I sow mine in loo rolls indoors and then transplant as we also have a mice issue. I have a number of climbing varieties flowering and hope for beans soon. As previously suggested you could also try dwarf beans, they are much faster to crop and still provide a lot of beans. I grow Ferrari and have already picked a fair few pods. Borlotti and Canadian Wonder are also podding but I leave these to dry for the beans.
