Get the camera out and put them in the GYO virtual show! That is the 'virtual' way of stopping people in the street or shouting from the rooftops!

Well done Lainey Lou. And yes, do get your camera out and enter something for the show. Or post the pics on here. I love to see what everybody is growing.

I hope you had a really nice dinner last night Lainey Lou - for my first season growing properly (apart from peas in a tub and hanging basket of tomatoes, I haven't grown veg since I were a nipper and used to help my dad), I was amazed at not only what actually GREW, but how good I felt about picking it and later eating it. Proud as punch indeedy - planning for next year already.

                          It's a great feeling.

I remember my first ever crop - but then it was only a few weeks ago, and I arrived home after being on the plot for a few hours. I walked in through the kitchen door and pronounced "look wife, I make food!" It was emotional!

It's a really good feeling every time you pick your own produce, it doesn't matter how often you do it, it still feels good. It's something you never lose.
Be aware though that the opposite can be felt when things go wrong. Sorry to put a blank in but it's a fact of the lottie life. Think of the good stuff, and keep smiling.
Oh and whatever you do. Don't stop people on the street
