Its great when you can dish it up & announce I grew this. Unfortunately there will be failures and I find myself getting quite annoyed when I have to say the carrots or whatever are *@!@* Tesco's. I had a really proud moment this week. My baby blueberrie bushes haven't cropped alot so I've been putting them in the freezer all summer. Yesterday I made my 1st muffins with MY blueberries. Just enough for 1 batch. Boy were they delicious, and everyone's now hoping for a better crop next year!!

A friend of mine made some mushroom soup for a dinner party. After the guests had consumed the soup and commented on how nice it was, only then she admitted to harvesting said mushrooms from local fields that afternoon. Evidently none of the guests died though some did look worried.

Are we a bit odd, photographing our food before we eat it? Well I don't care, I still do it. I also get upset out of all proportion when I sow the food, nurture it, cosset it, water it, weed it, dig it, wash it, cook it ... and then they don't eat it! It's so upsetting
