My garage is quite hot in summer, possibly because it has a corrugated metal roof. Its cold in winter though!!

      Metal tin in the fridge.

Fine until “someone” pulled them out and put them in a cupboard. I reckon the metal box then developed a lot of condensation that ruined most of the seeds. Until this year it has worked really well.

In closed boxes on a shelf in my study. Not ideal because it's not cold, but at least they stay at a constant temperature so they seem to stay viable at least until their best before date.

A carrier bag of seeds, a little filing box of seeds and a tin of seeds all kept in my crafts room.

I have a lovely RHS seed tin, it's black and red with flowers on it.
Obviously it's not big enough :-)
The overflow of mostly open packets lives in a paper carrier bag in my kitchen.

Deffo A waterproof container is essential ...don’t ask me how I know

I’m going for those clip top plastic boxes and the silica sachets in future for anything that I couldn’t easily replace and will find somewhere cool in the house as temperatures in the shed or greenhouse are too variable.

I’m curious about freezing seeds to keep them viable for longer. Has anyone tried it?
