Only planted my greengage tree last year - had a big bowlful - really pleased.

I think my mahoosive tromboncino last year was my biggest triumph ever. They just kept producing, and one of the fruits was nearly 4kg! It was a serious talking point when people visited, because you could see it at the end of the kitchen the moment you walked into the front room and it looked rather curious.
Other than that, I think my proudest achievement is going no-dig and actually making it work, and that I've been able to put in all the hard work of shifting so much horse manure. I will never go back to digging now

I am proud of every crop I manage to grow in my small garden.
From the fruit that makes our jam.
The tomatoes that makes our sauce and salsa.
And the salad ingredients that keep us in healthy eating all summer.
If I am honest, I pride myself on the great crop of tomatoes and potatoes I manage to grow every year.
I could not imagine my life without a garden.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Well, if I'd seen this thread a couple of days ago, I'd have said my pepper plants. But nearly all of them keeled over in wind and rain, so we'll just have to see.
I've got a Confection winter squash that is looking very promising.
TS, I'm not sure how long the Dulce de Fuentes will last where you are. They tend to go soft here after a couple of months or so in storage.

I'm proud of the potatoes I've grown this year - around 10kg of Charlottes grown in buckets and bags, using home made compost / leaf mould, with a sprinkle of blood fish and bone.
I have a second crop on the go, planted late June from a bag of seed potatoes I stored in the fridge, so if I'm lucky I may double that amount.Last edited by utini; 22-08-2019, 01:39 PM.
