What a fabulous crop of potatoes. I know exactly what you mean - gardening can be full of ups and downs and some of them are totally unexpected.A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory. LLAP. - Leonard Nimoy

Great spuds! I'll be planting potatoes in my new allotment next year and wondered how big was the area you used for that great crop??Last edited by broadway; 28-08-2019, 07:12 AM.Cheers

Thanks Danny,
The bed space used was 330x130cm. (22 seed potatoes) 2 rows with seed potatoes 30cm apart. (the RHS recommendation for maincrop is for 75cm between rows and 37cm between seeds but you work with what you have)
A little eelworm damage on a few of them but not many. I did have some scab on some other potato varieties I grew (Arran Pilot, Pentland Javelin, Kestrel and Desiree) but not on these King Edwards, apparently they have good resistance, which is great as we'll bake a lot of these.
