Any thoughts on what's good to sow now which will provide a crop over winter.
I have a unheated greenhouse that I could use for propagation, and head start.
To have a large amount of crops over winter next year, sow things in the summer like carrots, broccoli,Brussels sprouts etc think of winter crops you need & find out the sowing date,on the packet of seeds. Write a list of any fruit or veg you had to buy this year, look for seeds now there’s sales going on. I sowed peas for pea shoots the other day, there’s a winter gem lettuce that grows overwinter, doesn’t mind cold blow away.
Try mooli radish, all year round lettuce, spring onions and there are several oriental veg suitable for sowing at this time of year and as Jane has said, pea shoots and you can have several cut from the one owing
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

I’m hoping to sow winter lettuce, broccoli Raab, rocket, winter radish. Pea shoots mentioned earlier are a great idea which Id love to try and as an experiment to use up any spare odds and sods brassica seed I’ll be sowing some red and green varieties in trays as mini leaves.

I've just sown 5 buckets of Carrots and a mushroom tray of baby Beetroot to grow in the GH.
I'll be sowing mixed salad leaves, winter hardy White Lisbon spring onions, radishes and an assortment of Oriental leaves in the next few days.
I've just sown cauliflower to overwinter in the cold frame and plant out in spring for caulis in June. You can also sow oriental greens, corn salad, winter lettuce, peas for pea shoots or to over winter and broad beans now.
