Favourite Gardening Binge Watch

Ok, What’s your all time favourite TV or YouTube gardening programme for those winter days you can’t get onto the plot? I have a dvd series called ‘The Allotment’ from a few years ago which was good but would love some new ideas

Ive enjoyed a few youtube clips from ww2 - I think there was a thread not so long ago...
Also found one on victorian style hotbeds by a chap in Yorkshire.
You will guess from my choices that I prefer short clips to hour long programmes!

That's torn it, I'm a youtube junkie I have to admit. - These are some of my favourites


One Yard Revolution - With Patrick and Oscar the cat. What you can achieve without too much effort on a small back garden.

Alberta Urban Garden - Nothing uploaded for some time and the presenter is a little dry in his tone, but the content is scientifically approached.

I am Organic gardening - Mike again researches his subject and gets his point accross very well.

Look for Dr Elaine Ingham - A soil scientist. One for those long dark evenings, some of her lectures go into great depth, and then turn out to be just part one. But you can't leave it there, well I can't.

Korean natural farming - Just do a general search, probably not relevent to many UK growers, but again the simple organic methods are cheap and effective it seems once you've made your own natural chemicals.

RED gardens - A canadian fella working a community plot in Ireland with some sensible and interesting science and methods, well presented.

Charles Dowding - The UK exponent that proves no dig works in domestic and commercial settings. Lots of detailed regular content.


On a more entertaining note

Byther Farm - Liz Zorab makes a good hostess and it's nice to see her overcome everyday struggles.

Way Out West Blow in Blog - A quirky couple in western Ireland

Bumblebee Junction - A delightful couple in the USA that live what they preach, quirky delivery from these Ex service people, but sweet.

Michael Brotherton - Dear old Michael (I think he's 79), has an allotment on the south coast, not many subscribers, but uploads a weekly short blog of progress and efforts, warts and all. We both enjoy keeping up to date with him.

Finally
Off Grid with Doug and Stacy - middle aged Americans that left the city and set up a homestead. Quirk but interesting - not strictly gardening but has plenty in there with receipes too.

You can get carried away (well I can), but these are worthy or a look.

I have Geoff Hamilton dvds, The Ornamental Kitchen Garden, Cottage Gardens and Paradise Gardens.

Online I follow Nicky Kyle Gardening which is completely ad free.

Root and refuge farm - an american lass with a very practical mindset, with lots of tips on how to grow and build around your plot
Morag Gamble - permaculture lady with the best accent and most soothing voice ever. I could listen to her for hours.

Neil recently found the double box set of The Lost Gardens of Heligan & Return To Heligan in a charity shop....still in it's original wrapper!!! So that one will be getting watched in the coming weeks
