Are they not similar to carrot?
They can cause a reaction with skin, like blistering. Goggle it.

I love cauliflower leaves. The inner, more tender ones.

            i love the "crunch"
I'm also sure that it was the curry that gave me indigestion and not the leaves

There are quite a few weeds that can be eaten. This article has some useful pictures of some of them https://www.telegraph.co.uk/gardenin...could-eat.html. You can also eat ground elder, which was apparently imported as a vegetable until its invasive tendencies were discovered. However, some weeds are poisonous, so if in doubt, don't eat it. I read somewhere recently that you are statistically more likely to die from accidental poisoning than from a car accident - a sobering thought!

No one has mentioned you shouldn't eat bitter tasting courgettes and squash https://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gr...ing_67687.html

                  It’s a pity we can’t eat slugs.
Although I do recycle them into eggs.
I never pull out kale plants until they have started to put out seed shoots in spring. They’re delicious.

I remember reading somewhere that chilli leaves are used in cooking in the Far East. I was surprised because I had assumed they might be toxic. Haven’t tried it myself.

Mmmm, they also eat puffer fish in the far east, and that is extremely toxic if you eat the wrong part!
