  • 2020 Tromba Competition

Just like last year and the year before (that's 2019 and 2018 for the confused). let's grow Trombas, have a giggle and plenty of boasting.

For new members, the aim is to grow Tromba squashes in all their magnificent, amusing glory and to entertain us throughout the summer.

Who's in and who's out? Still plenty of time to order your seeds.

Read all about it in last year's thread - make sure you're sitting comfortably before you start.

I didn't post any pics either - they were absolute carp last year

Mine were too. Didn't get a single boring tromba - let alone a funny one.

            He11 yeah! .....I’m in
If I only grow one veg it’d be a tromboncino :cool ( chillies excluded for that statement ).
Grows great, looks funny, tastes lovely and very versatile in the kitchen. What’s not to like.

              I'm in!

Mine started off well last year then some numpty kids broke into the plot, trashed everything growing in the greenhouse and I never got around to sowing a second batch in time

Mine are gonna be HUUUUUUGE this year!
If I'm not on the Grapevine I can usually be found here!....https://www.thecomfreypatch.co.uk/

You're in at Number 8 for boasting, Sp. whether you intend growing them or not.

I’m only growing in 1 1/2 tunnels & 2 raised beds this year. Tromboncino was the first thing I chose for the limited space available. There’s no point gardening if you’re not growing a tromboncino .

Half hearted boast for last year. Massive crop but only 3 over a ft long

Mine didn't grow to 3" long and it wasn't even perfectly formed.

                            We’ve all experienced that disappointment
