Bloody Hell! You were lucky it clipped the back of the car. Take it easy, my partner had a little bit of whiplash after pranging our car into a ditch (black ice, car wrote off), it took months for them to feel really back to normal aches and pains wise.

Right, changing the subject slightly now for you dog lovers out there here are 2 photos of my latest companion who will be helping me down the lottie, just hope he don't go all terrier and decide to start helping me dig up the veggies. Can see holes appearing all over the place if I don't keep an eye on him, he did manage to dig a hole in my flower bed last year probably looking for treasure.

Here's Jack last summer after I'd only had him a month, he's filled out slightly but he looks alot better now and I'm hoping he may come out for some of the training runs I do that are only a few miles rather than the 10+ ones I sometimes like to do.

As part of my recovery plan I went out today looking at Fiesta's at the dealership I bought my last one from as I had been paid by AXA and my Gap insurance so I easily have the money for a replacement.

Found this beauty its a nice 19 plate thats got 2,600 miles on the clock, satnav built in and was a bargain as they priced it on an incorrect mileage of 12,600 miles. Got them to give me Gap insurance for free that's worth £500 as well, said I wouldn't take it unless they included Gap in the cost. Result, pick it up on Friday PM so I'll be mobile again so with any luck I'll be down starting to sort all 3 lotties on Saturday.

Funny enough he's a rescue dog I got from The Dogs Trust and what they told me was that he was picked up as a stray in Ballymena, Co. Antrim, Northern Ireland and then transported to here at Loughborough to be re-homed, which is where I came into his life. He's a real cracker of a dog and is not like a terrier at all, calm, hardly barks if at all, is a perfect dog to take to the pub as he never moves, ignores an other dogs if present. A real Diamond.

Sorry to say that as he's been in Leicestershire so long Jack has now lost his Irish accent and now sounds more Leicester-ish, as I'm typing this he's snoring away in his soft bed next to me in the lounge after his morning walk, bless him he's getting more used to the easy life rather than the struggle to survive that a stray has to endure.

Can't wait to taking him down to lottie so he can explore and smell all the new smells down there but there is one rule I'm going to enforce, NO PEEING ON THE RHUBARB.

Just seen this....

OMG...hit at 70mph Idiot bus driver deserves to lose his licence completely for life, never mind his job!!!! So glad you had a dashcam to prove you were 100% in the clear. We had to scrap our car last May when I was out of work (couldn't afford the £400+ MOT repairs would have cost!) but plan to get another later this year and I think I may just invest in a dashcam even though roads are a lot quieter up here in rural Northumberland. I suppose one silver lining is that it happened at a time of year when not much is happening on our plots and no weeds are growing!

As for Jack......what a GORGEOUS dog!!!!! Exactly the type of terrier I adore....he looks a wee rascal Perhaps give him a sand or soil pit of his own on the allotment in which to dig and hide treats in it which he has to find. Or give him a big juicy marrowbone to gnaw on whilst you are pottering. I used to have jack russells back in the early 90's and they weren't a bit snappy or yappy (as folks always informed me terriers were when they heard what I had!)....my two were soft as clarts, loved to sunbathe, never barked, ignored other dogs and were just a joy to live with. Definitely considering another terrier if we get a dog next year.
