      You and I both VC,
like Snadger I would recommend Ailsa Craig, a good tomato to grow
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

Missed that got carried away looking up Coure di Bue, sorry I mean, not fancy, 'plain', standard. Just 'ordinary' English-style red salad tomatoes.

Grown Rose de Berne, not fussed. Not the other two.

Bloody Butcher - not because its the tastiest but because its the first I can get to ripen. The first home grown tomato always tastes best.

My absolute favourite for taste is Crimson Crush. Medium to large sizes. It's blight resistant and recommended for growing outdoors but I have grown in the greenhouse for the last few years here in not so sunny Yorkshire.

Maskotka is a very nice tasting salad tomato. But you get a mixture of cherry sized tomatoes. And bigger money maker sized tomatoes on the same plant.

The gardeners delight I grew last year. Where nice and most of the tomatoes where moneymaker sized as well. And got bloody hundreds of em on a single truss. I sent some seeds to the tomato seed circle if you where in it. Think they where named "Urbans Delight"

Moneymaker is always a nice tomato for me. I know some people say they have no taste. But mine have always been really nice. And very prolific

Best tomato I've ever tasted was Rosada F1 (small plum) but you can't get it now because of European rules. Hopefully it will be back on the cards next year

Trying Crimson Crush for the first time this year, but also Dobies Fantasio is really tasty. Decent blight resistance although it succumbs by the end of October in my polytunnel.

I googled this and the answer came up as “celebrity” seems only available in the U.S.

I would heartily recommend 'Matina', best salad tomato I have ever grown, does very well outside.

My favourite Tom's at the moment are baby plums. They are really sweet and tasty and the plants give a bumper crop.
