I don't grow lettuce in the ground, only in the GH, because the chooks find it before I do.

Just seeds at this point in time.
Slight catch is I have 10 seeds. So will start 3 off and see what happens.
Only really want 2 plants.
Not great on aubergines as food but have a few recipies. Also picked up a book on roasting vegetarian and vegan dishes - I am neither, tend to follow the rule that if it doesn't move eat it, if it does move then hit it, then eat it. One day the robin will get it - any recipes for robin kebab around?
Roasting is easy - all in dish, oven, roast, eat.
Excellent Orzo one the other day - really easy.
Actually have to sow the aubergines soon. as in this weekend. They arrived last weekend.

Isn't it getting a bit late to sow aubergines? They need a long season and lots of light and unless started soon won't be ready before the light levels start to drop at the end of the summer.
Just a thought - I'm no expert.I live in a part of the UK with very mild winters. Please take this into account before thinking "if he is sowing those now...."

I grow small types, this year are Jewel mixed, Hansel and Gretel. Apparently you can harvest the fairytale siblings from golf ball sized to as large as they grow. All have germinated and are ready to pot on. I am planning on putting them with the peppers and chillies in my GH. The tomatoes will have to make do outsideV.P.
The thing I grow best are very large slugs!
