In these uncertain times (frankly more like an unbelievable movie plot), there is finally something I can do for the people in my village. I’ve just sown lots of seed so I can keep everyone supplied with fresh salad, veggies. So they don’t have to go to the shops as often. Obviously I’m not out to make a profit from this situation. what ever people want, Will be given freely.
So finally getting to the point. What to sow now? I’m going with VCs approach of throwing the rule book away on this . Must be : Quite to mature. Heavy cropping or not take up much space as I’ll need to plant lots.

So far I’ve sown lettuce (bucketloads), cucumber, courgette, dwarf french beans, chard, spinach.

I’ll be ordering spring onion seed (not got any, as I wasn’t growing any this year). So what else do I need to add to my seed order?

What about peas for some for their tops others for peas and onion sets can be used for spring onions also different coloured radishes

New Zealand spinach, lots of greens and won't bolt in the heat.

Radishes..they only take 6 weeks to mature.
I also think salad " seed tapes" seem to mature quite fast.
Peas, just for shoots if needed

Turnips (navets) - quite quick?
Climbing french beans - more crop to space?

Beetroot, runner and other climbing beans, summer squash - maybe patty pan flying saucers or trombocini to make folk smile.
In summer, cucumbers and tomatoes, particularly if you have a GH.
Maybe a few oriental veg now and in autumn.

Probably about 5 degrees or as I call it ****** cold.
Most of this will be getting grown in polytunnels.

Mizuna and namenia (similar but less mustardy) are very quick growing at this time of year and will give you salad leaves 7-8 weeks after sowing outside.
