Mine are all still chitting in the small bedroom, not worried at the moment as still got plenty of time to plant them and its still freezing cold with frosts. Took the dog for a walk yesterday morning and was subject to a hail storm so it seems even the weather is going crazy at the moment.

Besides I'm still digging the spot where they are going to be planted in so I'm going to have to wait a couple of weeks for the weeds I've dug in to die and start rotting.

Got Anya, Cara, Kerr's Pink, Swift and Rooster Red seed potatoes that's 6 trays to be planted.

Mine are chitting. They’ll get planted in maybe two weeks. We bought two of five different types to try and two small bags - Maris piper and rocket.

last of the spuds are in... Fleece on top just in case the BBC website has got it wrong. The earlies in the blow-away are all up, and the 1 container in the GH is roaring away so 8 weeks away from the first spuds of the year for me. Happily the mint and parsley are coming on well.

Planted mine yesterday - (20 each of King Edwards, Int Kidney, and Spunta)...

I was thinking of covering them with fleece, any downside to this???
              Cheers

Through necessity I have had to plant arse first! My maincrop potatoes Elfe are in the ground (planted deeply) because they had strong chits and were starting to shrivel.
My Charlotte earlies are still on the windowsill chitting although they seem reluctant to do so. I will probably aim to get them into the ground Easter weekend all being well.

Planted my maris pipers today in bags, I figured that if my overwintered begonia hanging basket has been able to survive outside for a month now then potatoes should be fine.

My maincrop (Rooster) are starting to shrivel a bit, too, but I still plan to wait until this weekend to plant them. I'm sure they'll keep another week.
My shop-bought Violet Queen are developing nice sprouts now, too. They're about 2mm long now.

Was checking under my poly cloches today and one of the seed potatoes I planted a couple of weeks ago is up through
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

I planted some Nicola (2nd early) in a bed in the poly tunnel. My Caragh and others are still chatting in the garage.

Planted my final tub with Ratte at the weekend. After 2 weeks the first 2 tubs of Casablanca and Piccolo Star are showing well.

I planted my 5th and final tub of Maris Piper today. I've got two more tubs to plant with Charlotte but will wait a couple of months so I can get some nice new potatoes later in the year.
